The Mail on Sunday - (19th March edition)
Compare Airport Parking has once again made it into the national press, this time the Mail on Sunday (19th March edition) gave our site the seal of approval.
On Sunday 19th March the Mail on Sunday published an interesting article that compared the merits of booking holiday add ons - such as parking, car hire and hotels, with the leading low cost airlines. The journalist Fred Mawer discovered that booking with comparison sites saves you more money than booking the product from the airline websites. Mawer evaluated easyJet, bmibaby and Ryanair and discovered that, as with many airlines, prices are slightly higher for holiday add ons when booking through their sites, due to the commission the airlines gleam off the top. "In 2005 easyJet earned £87 million from what it calls 'ancillary revenue' - much of it from it's cut on bookings made via the website for hotels, car hire and so forth".
Mawer concluded, "stick to booking just flights on the airlines' websites". Compare Airport Parking is a 'useful new venture' and 'can save you a lot of money'.
