Ryanair Announce Flight Price Reduction
Monday 28th July 2008Low-cost carrier Ryanair have announced a 5% reduction in its air fares despite announcing an 85% fall in profits.
Their move is sure to begin a price war with their main competitors in the budget airline sector such as easyjet and mainstream airlines like British Airways as the attempt to keep hold of their position despite the sharp rise in oil costs and the fallout of the credit crunch.
Ryanair chief Michael O'Leary has once again stood by his guarantee that Ryanair will never introduce a fuel surcharge and he has gone on to claim that the rise in fuel costs will in fact raise the attraction of Ryanair flights rather than encourage passengers to travel by other means or by other airlines.
Ryanair have stated that they still have many bargains available on their flights, so if you are looking for a cheap deal and are feeling the credit cruch bite then why not take a trip to Ryanair.com and see what you can find?
