East Midlands Airport Complaints Down
Wednesday 23rd July 2008A report has indicated that East Midlands complains have reduced with nine out of ten complaints coming from the same thirteen people.
Complaints in 2006 totalled 7,978 and dropped to 7,128 in 2007. In total 6,314 of these complaints in 2007 were down to just thirteen people which equates to 89%. The number of people apart from these thirteen that complained dropped from 580 to 295.
Research has shown that the main source of comlaints was due to aircraft noise and totalled 5,535 wit the next highest number being 829 complaints which related to low-flying aircraft. The times the complaints were made seem to be balanced between morning and evening with no clear increase in complaints at any particular time of the day.
