Family End Up In Wrong Country After Airport Mix-Up

A family have accused Cardiff Airport of making a mistake with their boarding arrangements meaning that they boarded the inorrect flight and ended up on a twelve hour journey to Turkey instead of their holiday destination of Lanzarote.

The family claim that the Thomson desk gave them incorrect boarding passes and then directed them to an incorrect gate. They were only to discover the mistake as they came in to land and it was announced that they were in Turkey. The family apparently all went to sleep not long after boarding the flight which may be another reason why they failed to notice the destination of the flight.

Servisair who are believed to be the company who dealt with the check-in have apologised to the family concerned and are making arrangements to allow them to reach their original destination.
