Southampton Airport have launched a new campaign to assist passengers at the airport, in the form of ambassadors.

The role of the new ambassadors is to assist passengers with information about the airport and unsure that Southampton Airport remains a user-friendly and pleasurable experience.

The new assistants are not the only thing working in passengers favour as they will be employing the latest iPodITouch devices that will enable them to answer questions that passengers may have that is both accurate and up-to-date. The devices work by utilising the airports wi-fi facilities.

The ambassadors will also provide a service for new passengers that are travelling from the airport for the first time, providing passengers with local information and the quickest and easiest ways to get around - which will also be much easier due to their IPodITouch devices.

An Airport Ambassador, Jodie Stevens spoke about their new roles saying;

“Airport Ambassadors have the freedom to move around the terminal building, meaning we can offer a far more personal service, and enabling us to go the extra mile with every passenger.”

The Customer Service Director at Southampton Airport also spoke on the new ambassadors and said;

“Excellent customer service is a real priority at Southampton Airport, and this new team is proving extremely popular with our passengers.  By being fully mobile, the team can really provide a first class service to passengers throughout the airport.”
