New Gatwick To Basel Service Launched By Easyjet

A new flight route from Gatwick Airport to Basel has been launched by low-cost carrier easyjet that will start at £28.99 one way (taxes included).

The new route is expected to carry around 200,000 passengers in its first year and the route is sure to be popular with many different types of customer whether they are looking to explore the Black Forest, Jura, Vosges or northern Basel where much of the industry is located.

The easyjet UK Manager David Osbourne commented on the new route by saying;

“easyJet has seen an increase of 23 new routes from London Gatwick 2008, taking the total number of routes on offer from the airport to 65. Basel will offer a direct link for many business travellers to the city, with the independent traveller taking advantage of Basel’s unique European location to explore the three surrounding countries."
