Ryanair Announce Seat Sale
Thursday 17th July 2008Ryanair have confirmed that it is still possible to book a €1 flight by confirming a sale of their seats that can be found on the Ryanair website.
There will be one million seats available for €1 (with all taxes and charges included) and will be available until midnight on Friday the 18th of July. The flights will be operating from the 1st of September 2008 to the 31st of October 2008.
Commenting on the sale was Ryanair's Head Of Communications, Stephen McNamara who said;
"The EU fat cats claim that their recent decision on airline advertising is a victory for the consumer and will mark the demise of €1 airfares. This is Rubbish. Ryanair is pleased to prove the bureaucrats wrong yet again as €1 fares (including taxes and charges) are alive and kicking at www.ryanair.com. We continue to deliver what consumers really want – the lowest airfares in Europe and no fuel surcharge, ever We call on the EU to make a real difference and examine the unjustified fuel surcharges imposed by many greedy airlines. Already high-fares flag carriers such as Aer Lingus, British Airways, Air France and Lufthansa continue to impose and increase their fuel surcharges with the EU making no attempt to investigate it. Outlawing fuel surcharges would allow the EU to deliver a ruling that will actually make a difference to consumers."
