Girl Trapped On Conveyor Belt

A two year old girl has sustained superficial injuries after becoming trapped on a conveyer belt at Manchester Airport.

The baggage conveyer belt measures an astonishing four miles in length which the child managed to get onto by apparently walking through an empty check-in desk whilst her parents queued at another.

An engineer rescued the child while investigating a blockage in one of the systems, the airport has launched a full investigation into the incident.
