Huge Cocaine Seizure At Gatwick Airport

Wednesday 16th July 2008

A huge cocaine seizure was made at Gatwick Airport last Thursday that falls just short of the £1 million mark. Twenty four kilos of the drug were found by UK Border Agency officers last Thursday.

The drug was hidden in luggage carried through customs by a man and a woman on a flight from St. Lucia and its value was estimated to be £960,000. As usual with drugs such as this, the money that could be made would possibly have been three times as much as the drug would be 'cut' by drug dealers.
