Heathrow Third Runway Hinted At By Government Minister

Wednesday 16th July 2008

A third runway at London Heathrow Airport could soon be a reality according to a government minister.

The UK Business Secretary, John Hutton has made comments regarding the new runway at the Farnborough Airshow and commented that despite comments from green parties he felt that the runway was needed and that is was the governments responsibility to ensure that their responsibilities were met.

The UK government are due to make a decision on the expansion of Heathrow Airport in late 2008 and are continuing to meet strong resistance from environmental campaigners.
