Jersey Airport Fire Not Affecting Norwich To Jersey Flights

A fire at Jersey Airport yesterday appears to not have affected flights operating from Norwich to Jersey.

There was some initial concern that flight routes may be affected after the fire started at around 6.40pm - completely burning out some workshops and a hotel. The emergency services set up an exclusion zone for 200 metres around the area as there was a hazard from cylinders that contained acetylene gas that were potentially at risk of exploding.

At the time of writing there are no reports that the exclusion zone has been removed. The exclusion zone has been reported to have affected one of the airport runways preventing an air traffic from using it.
