Bristol Airport Now Has A Table Service Restaurant

Friday 11th July 2008

SSP, the UK's leading food and beverage operator, opens Bristol Airport's first table service restaurant.

The restaurant is part of a £7.5 million programme of redevelopment's at the airport.

The restaurant, named "Dexter's Chargrill and Bar" was developed in partnership with Clapham House Group (Owners of the The Real Greek, The Bombay Bicycle Club, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Dexters and Tootsies brands). SSP UK signed a franchise agreement with Clapham House Group to operate the Tootsies and Dexter’s brands in the UK and Ireland airports market in April 2008.

The restaurant has been created in response to the increased number of passengers and increased time that passengers spend airside, following security changes.

SSP have recently found success at another of the UK's airports, with a seated resaurant at Newcastle Airport and hopes to follow suit at Bristol.

Located airside at Bristol Airport, Dexter’s is an American-style family restaurant serving a health-conscious all-day menu with an emphasis on ethically sourced products, including burgers and a Superfood Salad.

Dexter’s prides itself on being child-friendly with a tailored Junior menu developed by children’s food and nutritional expert and best-selling author, Annabel Karmel.
