Baggage Handlers Cleared By Crown Court Jury Over Cigarette Thefts
Wednesday 28th November 2007Two of LIverpool Airports baggage handlers have been cleared of stealing cigarettes from a passengers suitcase. Adrian Currums, 39 and Paul Hudson, 20 were both found with large quantities of cigarettes during an internal search by other airport staff. Both men were suspended after the search in March of this year. A third man Michael Rice, 56 has admitted taking cigarettes that did not belong to him. All three men elected to be tried by Crown Court Jury but were cleared.
