Americans Knock Nose Off British Icon
Wednesday 9th July 2008The legendary Concorde has suffered an undignified accident at the hands of the Americans after one of the supersonic airliners was given to them on a lease basis.

One of the aircraft was leased to a transport museum in Brooklyn, New York when they were de-commissioned in 2003. However recently a truck that was carrying supplies for a Jamaican music festival accidently knocked the nose off the aircraft. Aviation enthusiasts have apparently captured the damage on their cameras, however they were some of the first to find out about the incident. The President of the museum the Concorde was destined for did not learn of the incident until he was online and heard from fans of Concorde that were unhappy about what was taking place.
The Concorde was being held at a temporary location awaiting its delivery to the museum and it has been stated that the incident will not re-occur. Let us hope that the aircraft can be repaired and be back to its previous glory as soon as possible.
