New Self-Service Check-In Desks For Flybe Customers
Monday 7th July 2008Airline Flybe are attempting to make travelling on their aircraft easier and more efficient by fitting self-service check-in machines at Cardiff Airport for their passengers use.
It has been proved that these machines aid in reducing waiting times as well as customer queues with Flybe being the first budget carrier to attempt to use the system. The airline seem to be attempting to make life as easy for their customers as possible with the installation of these machines. Not only will the new systems make life easier for passengers, but will benefit the airline in the coming years as with the self-service desks cutting down on on flight delays this could reduce the airlines bills as delays are one of the biggest costs that can be incurred.
Recent research suggests that 40% of passengers will make use of facilities such as this which is sure to be in no small part the reson behind the decision being made to install them. It will be interesting to see which other low-cost carriers will take the initiative of installing the machines and which ones can afford them, as the aviation industry battles to keep its head above water with the current fuel crisis taking place.
