East Midlands Airport See Passenger Increase

May saw East Midland Airport handle half a million people which means a rise of 10% compared to May 2007.

The total passenger numbers reached 534,690 and was the first time that the airport had counted over half a million passengers in a single month. The rise in passenger numbers at the airport could mean that there is an increase in passengers wishing to make use of local airport facilites instead of travelling to larger airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick.
