Showers To Be Available On Emirates A380 Flights

Wednesday 2nd July 2008

A new facility will be available for passengers travelling onboard Airbus A380 flights with Emirates in the form of showers in the aircraft.

The airline - based in Dubai will be carrying one tonne of fresh water, that will not be recycled from other parts of the aircraft, to refresh any first class traveller that fancies a shower on the flight. The showers are to be cleaned after every use ensuring hygenic conditions are maintained.

Emirates are the biggest purchaser of the new aircraft with an order of 58 for the airline at a total cost of $96.3 billion and is sure to revolutionise air travel much the same way as the Boeing 747 did when it was launched nearly forty years ago. The first A380 is due to arrive with the airline in August 2008.
