Increase In A380 Flights At Heathrow Airport

Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of its fifth Airbus A380 'superjumbo' which will now see the huge aircraft visit the UK on a regular basis.

The new Heathrow to Singapore flight route that ran the Boeing 747-400 will be upgraded to the Airbus A380 meaning more passengers flying on each flight route between the two countries. The new Airbus A380 flights will operate on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and will run under the the flight code SQ318 from Singapore to London Heathrow and the SQ321 that runs from Heathrow to Singapore. The flights will be operating from the 16th of July.

Already running is a flight route from Heathrow to Singapore using the Airbus A380 however a second flight route from the huge aircraft from Heathrow to Singapore will be put on hold from the 31st of July to the 9th of August as the aircraft will be used for the 2008 Olympic Games.
