Easyjet To Throw Weight Behind Aircraft Tax
Monday 30th June 2008Easyjet have moved in a different direction to Britain's other airlines by supporting a move by the government to replace Air Passenger Duty (APD).
Easyjet are set to offer their support by asking the government to disregard the comments of carriers such as British Airways as well as the US Government and various cargo airlines voicing their non-approval and ensure that the plans which will mean a tax that charges for aircraft and not passengers.
The ow-cost carrier is to give additional support to the new tax by investing £100,000 in an advertising campaign in the press that will push the new tax with the headline 'Air Tax Is Changing'.
