Sniffer Dogs On Patrol At Edinburgh Airport

Police at Edinburgh Airport are to crackdown on the importing of illegal drugs by ensuring two sniffer dogs are on patrol at the airport to hunt hunt down offenders. The process will take place over the period of a week.

Lothian and Borders Police, as well as the UK Border Agency have joined forces to spend a week searching for drug smuggling taking place at the airport. A high visibility police presence at the airport is complimented by two sniffer dogs named Skye and Sutton who - like the pilice have been working on the operation since Monday. They will be finishing on Friday where the effectiveness of the week-long operation will be analysed.
