Southern To Run First Gatwick Express Service This Weekend

Wednesday 18th June 2008

This Sunday the 22nd of June will see train operator Southern run its first Gatwick Express service that will depart London Victoria at 3.30am and run to Gatwick Airport. The new service is to enhance the fight against crowd numbers at Brighton main line station.

Come December Southern will begin to offer an expanded Gatwick Express service that will run to Brighton in the morning and evening. Trains will be re-fitted for this service and will provide some 2,000 seats for passengers to travel into London on, eliviating some of the congestion that has been experienced recently.
