Easyjet Cashback Offer Re-Worded
Tuesday 17th June 2008Low-cost carrier easyjet have re-worded information on their website after several customers complained about a cashback offer that left them financially at a loss.
The cashback offer had terms and conditions that were attached to it however this was not explained on the website resulting in passengers feeling misled. The complaints included one passenger who was asked if they wished to take out the cashback offer after a booking had been made. The customer took the offer out and did not have the money debited into their account but did have an £8 debit taken from their account. It must be noted however that when the passenger complained they were given a full refund on the money that was missing.
Easyjet responded to the criticism by saying that easyjet had made it clear that the discount discription was for a paid-for service and that their customers were able to unsubscribe and cancel the request they had made at any time they wished.
