Blackpool Airport To Host Air Racing Event

Tuesday 17th June 2008

If you are planning to fly to or from Blackpool Airport at the end of June then you may be surprised as to what you will witness.

The airport is to host the Aero GP air racing competition and will take place on the 28th and 29th of June. The airport is teaming up with the competition which can be witnesses over the North Shore beachfront. A competition that is as popular is sure to pull in huge crowds so if you are travelling on these dates then it is best to call ahead to the airport to ensure there are not any delays to your flight.

It is important to hold a competition such as this near an airport as the racing aircraft require the facilities that only an airport can provide such as hangars and aircraft servicing facilities.
