Virgin To The Rescue For Silverjet Passengers

Wednesday 11th June 2008

Passengers who were left stranded by the collapse of Silverjet can now book an alternative flight with Virgin after they launched a package designed to help passengers of the airline.

If you had a ticket to fly with Silverjet from this point in time until the 30th of June then you will be able to obtain a special rate to fly on a Virgin aircraft for the same date that you were originally booked to fly with Silverjet. An article in the Los Angeles Times indicates that the price for a flight between London Heathrow and New York JFK will be $299 or £153 if you are to be in economy class. You can also travel in premium economy for $599 or in business class for £1,399.

It is believed that British Airways are to offer alternative flights for stranded Silverjet passengers as well as was reported by online travel news service Travel Mole.
