Emirates To Launch First Commercial A380 Service

The airline Emirates will launch the first commercial US service using the Airbus A380 'superjumbo' in August this year on a route that will take it to New York from Dublin.

Emirates have ordered more of the Airbus A380 aircraft than any other airline and will receive the first aircraft towards the latter half of July in a ceremony that will see it dispay the interior design of the new aircraft. The new launch will see the brand new service operating on the 1st and 3rd of August. From the 8th of August the A380 will be flying three times every week on the Dubai-New York-Dubai route, this will operate on a Friday, Sunday and Wednesday. Emirates will introduce four more Airbus A380's later this year which will then lead to flight routes operating from Dubai to London and Heathrow to Sydney-Auckland.
