Local Residents Angered By Aberdeen Airport Bus Route Changes
Friday 6th June 2008
Local residents to Aberdeen Airport in the town of Moray have been voicing their disapointment after route changes to the number ten bus route meant that the operator Stagecoach dropped Aberdeen Airport as a destination.
The number ten service was replaced with a service designated number 224 which now goes to Blackburn. Many passengers however claim to not have been made aware of the service change and some have even arrived back from holiday and waited for the service that never showed up. One coupld had to spend extra money for a taxi just to be able to get home 60 miles away.
A Stagecoach spokeswoman said that the changes to the route had been as a result of buses travelling to and from the airport and the services were finding it hard to supply other destinations with a proper service. A decision was made by the group to make changes to the number ten service as it was felt that this would cause the least disruption to their bus service.
