'Dead' Canoeist's Wife Flies Into Manchester Airport

The wife of canoeist John Darwin who re-appeared some five years after vanishing flew into Manchester Airport today escorted by armed Police. Anne Darwin was held at Manchester Airport for some three hours until being taken away by Cleveland Police for further questioning. Mrs. Darwin will face charges of fraud whilst her 'back-from-the-dead-husband' could face up to 12 years in prison if found guilty of passport offences and life-insurance fraud.
