Ferrovial Announce Sale Of Belfast City Airport
Friday 30th May 2008It has been announced by Ferrovial, the Spanish owners of BAA that they are to sell Belfast City Airport they purchased five years before they took control of the BAA.
The management of the airport have confirmed the announcement of the sale with Belfast City Airport expected to fetch more than £100 million. The airport was purchased by Ferrovial for £35 million in 2003 which indicates a steep rise in the value of the airport and the investment that has been made to it.
The sale is not expected to affect day the day running of the airport and Ferrivial have said that they are very happy at the way the airport has been performing.
