Warning Of Disruption At Heathrow Airport

A planned demonstration that will be taking place on the Eastern side of the airport on Saturday the 31st of May is expected to cause some disruption to local transportation routes. Heathrow Airport have stated that they are working closely with local police to minimise the impact of the demonstrations.

Bus routes will be affected by the demonstrations that are to close several roads around the airport. The bus routes affected are, 81, 90,105, 111,140, 203, 222, 285, 350, 423, 482, 490, A10, H25, H26, H98, U3, X26. As a result the routes will be re-directed to ensure they keep away from demonstration areas. Any passengers planning to travel to the airport by bus, road or train are asked to ensure the route they will be travelling on is still operating and if affected by the closures to make an alternative.

Roads to be closed will be, Envoy Avenue (westbound), Eastern Perimeter Road (southbound), Northern Perimeter Road (south/eastbound) and Nene Road (eastbound), these will be closed from 7am and re-opened as soon as the demonstration march has passed through the area. The A4 Bath Road will be closed for a short period in the afternoon between Harlington Corner and Sipson Road as well as the A408 Sipson Road as well as some local roads nearby that will also be closed for a short period in the afternoon. Passengers are advised to look for an alternative if possible.

Please note that the Parking Express long stay car park will only be accessible in a west/north direction from the Eastern Perimeter Road. Enterprise Car Rental services will also only be able to be accessed from Eastern Perimeter Road in a northern/western direction of North Perimeter Road.
