Manchester Airport Opens New Check-In Area

Thursday 22nd May 2008

From the 28th of May 2008 Manchester Airport's brand new check in area will begin to operate.

The ground level of the airport will house Air Berlin, Aer Arann, Lufthansa, Swiss, Ryanair, Olympic, Jet.com, Icelandair and Aurigny Air Services. The new check-in area at Terminal 1 will be accessible from the short stay airport car park via a lift to level 0 of the building upon which passengers will then be able to follow signs that will allow them to reach the check-in desks.

If you arrive at the airport by other means such as bus or train then the check-in can be reached by taking the link bus that operates to terminal 1 and 3. You should ensure that you get off the bus at terminal 1 on the ground level of the building. If you have arrived by car you can find a drop-off area outside the check-in at ground level. If you are parking your car then you can refer to the previous paragraph on how to reach the check-in desks.

Due to work taking place in the area you may encounter some disruption as a result we would suggest visiting the Manchester Airport website in order to find up-to-date information on congestion.
