Eurotunnel To Add Trains Amidst French Fishermen Strike
Wednesday 21st May 2008Eurotunnel staff have said that they are to add trains amidst a strike by French fishermen over the rise in fuel prices and the reduction of cod quotas imposed on them.
The fishermen are blocking several ports in France causing disruption on both sides of the channel. Not only will this affect crossing the channel but it will have the usual effect of creating disruption on the British side of the channel. This will most likely result in the use of operation stack that will cause extensive delays to travellers and the local residents in the UK.
