Bristol Airport Emergency Dash

Monday 12th May 2008

Around 15 emergency service vehicles rushed to Bristol International Airport last week after an incoming plane reported suffering from landing gear problems.

The Manx2.com flight was heading to Gloucester when it was diverted to Bristol.  The plane actually landed safely, but as with all incidents with any form of warning lights, airlines always act quickly to ensure passenger safety.   Once the plane was on the ground and checked the emergency services were stood down and able to return to their stations.

The plane will be fully inspected to check what caused the safety light to light up, before being returned to service.

The affected passengers were sent on to Gloucester by bus.
