Tail Winds Create Record Flight Times From Glasgow Prestwick Airport

Monday 26th November 2007

Reports suggest that tail winds are contributing to some of the fastest ever flight times between Glasgow Prestwick Airport and Belfast. It is reported that one of the flights to George Best Belfast City Airport with a heavy tail wind managed to complete the flight in as little as 18 minutes.

Normal allowances for this flight route are 45 minutes showing how much of a factor the tail wind was! As you can imagine passengers were surprised and pleased to be arriving ahead of schedule by such a large margain.
