BA to start moving remaining long haul flights to Terminal 5

Friday 9th May 2008

British Airways will begin to move its long-haul flights to Heathrow's Terminal 5 from 5 June.

These long-haul flights were due to move on 30 April, however, they were postponed after the less than successful opening of Heathrow's terminal 5.

The decision to delay was not popular with other rival carriers, which suffered a delay to their own plans to move into Terminal 4.

The moves, will be made in parts, with the first part moving eight long-haul destinations from Terminal 4 to Terminal 5.

The flights that will be transferred include services to Abuja, Bangalore, Beijing, Cairo, Cape Town, Lagos, New York JFK and Phoenix.
