Indian Doctor Deported Over Glasgow Terror Attacks

Wednesday 7th May 2008

An Indian doctor who has been held in the United Kingdom for his involvement in the Glasgow Airport attacks will be deported back to India today (Wednesday) after serving his time whilst on trial.

Sabeel, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison for his involvement with his brother in the failed Glasgow terror attacks worked as a doctor for the NHS and was found guilty of not informing the police of his brothers intentions to carry out the terror attack.

Sabeel's brother drove a jeep that was full of propane canisters into the Glasgow Airport terminal and then set the jeep alight. The jeep failed to break through the windows and nobody was injured by them. The terrorists however managed to set themselves alight and Sabeel's brother Kafeel died as a result of his burns.
