Wednesday 7th May 2008The future of regional hubs has been given a boost after comments by one of the men in charge of Leeds Bradford Airport. He gave the thumbs up to a rise in popularity of them.
The commercial and aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport said that the regional hubs are beginning to offer competition to the London airports that have previously been dominant in the market. Airports such as Gatwick and Heathrow.
The benefit of regional hubs offering the services that people are looking for is that passengers no longer have to travel to London, which is especially beneficial for people living in the north of the UK. Leeds Bradford Airport has been one of the most succesful airports in offering an alternative to London airports and has seen 75% growth in just the last four years.
