Virgin Atlantic Named As Official European Ryder Cup Airline

It has been announced that Virgin Atlantic is to be the official airline of the European Ryder Cup Team for 2008. The flight for the team will depart in early September from Heathrow Airport and land at Louisville International Airport. The aircraft to be used will be an Airbus A340-600.

Virgin Atlantic will also be offering pre-flight luxuries for the passengers in the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse where there will be various activities available such as massages, haircuts and games such as pool. The aircraft will also provide them with extensive luxury as they will be permitted use of the Upper Class Suite in the Airbus that has the longest available flat bed fitted in an aircraft business class.

The team is led by household name Nick Faldo who represented Britain for many years back in the 1980's and 1990's.
