Virgin Atlantic Voted Best For Amenities

Airline Virgin Atlantic has been voted the best for amenities in a survey conducted by SeatGuru.com.

The survey consisted of a survey of 1,600 airline passengers who were asked about their tastes in in-flight entertainment and were asked to rate the various airlines that they had travelled on for the standard of the entertainment.

In the survey Virgin Atlantic was placed at number one for amenities however did not manage to top the charts regarding the standard of food which went to Singapore Airlines. British Airways was also placed highly in both polls. The results brought up many interesting pieces of information. According to the results 44% of passengers were in favour of seat-mounted screens to watch their content on and considered them to be the best piece of in-flight entertainment equipment available. Only just over a quarter of passengers interviewed (26%) said that a meal was the most important thing to them however. In addition to this a third of passengers asked that complimentary snacks were removed form airline flight packages as they would rather have the flight price reduction.

Amusingly a SeatGuru.com representative responded to the results by saying "At the end of the day, a TV dinner is all flyers are really asking for" which does seem an accurate reading of the results!
