Bristol Airport Tighten Security Procedures For Vehicles
Wednesday 23rd April 2008Bristol Airport forecourt is to close to all forms of transport even taxis and buses in an attempt to prevent a repeat of the incident recently experienced at Glasgow Airport. Currently a taxi or a bus can drop a passenger off outside the airport terminal building which concerns airport staff that this could be exploited for a terrorist attack. This is now being changed to prevent this ever occuring.
It will be two years until the process is 100% complete which will then mean that no vehicles will be allowed outside the terminal under any circumstances. It is also believed that a wider exclusion zone will also be implemented
