Nigerians Boycotting British Airways
Monday 21st April 2008The recent deportation of a Nigerian man aboard a British Airways flight has caused outrage with thousands of Nigerians living abroad who are now threatening to boycott British Airways flights.
It is claimed that the manner in which the man was treated was uncivilised as well as a man who came to his defence aboard the aircraft who has now apparently been banned for life from the British carrier. According to reports over a hundred other passengers also voiced their concerns about the manner in which the man was being treated aboard the aircraft and were all ordered off the aircraft and refused the flight to their destination.
The passengers involved have requested a complete apology to be made to them that should be printed in a Nigerian National newspaper. Some are also asking for compensation and the life ban on the passenger who came to the deportee's aid to be lifted.
