Enhanced check-in for London City Airport

Work is scheduled to be finished in May on London City Airport's new self-service check-in kiosks. .  When  complete the airport will see twelve new self service check-in kiosks, all available for passengers to check themselves in for flights.

The departure lounge will also receive a upgarde and is being changed to include another 250 seats, a new lounge with internet and a new retail area which should include WH Smiths.

The work will sit alongside the other investments which have seen another four parking stands created at the airport, taking the airport facilities up to eighteen parking stands.

London City airport opened 21 years ago, and this project, costing over £30 million has been the largest ever.  The work is based on the increased demand the airport has seen in the past few years.

The £30 million project, the largest since the airport opened 21 years ago, was started last summer to help with increased numbers of flights.

Regular operators who fly from London City Airport include Lufthansa, British Airways and SAS.
