Boeing 777 Freighter Nears Completion
Friday 11th April 2008Boeing mechanics are entering the final phase of construction of the first Boeing 777 freighter to come from the American group.

The brand new aircraft will be rolling out of the factory later this month and will then begin a vigorous flight testing schedule to evaluate every parameter of its performance. The aim of this version of the popular 777 model is to fly further and for longer than any other twin-engined cargo aircraft in the world.
The first customer for this brand new cargo aircraft will be Air France and will be delivered late-2008. The design of the aircraft is based upon the 777-200LR passenger variation of the aircraft but adapted for cargo duties. So far eleven different cargo airlines have ordered the aircraft.
