VLM Airlines Named Most Punctual Airline
Wednesday 9th April 2008VLM Airlines have won over stiff competition to be named the most punctual airline that operated from Amsterdam to London City Airport which is a very popular and strongly contested route.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority have released data to indicate that 77% of flights that VLM operated from London City Airport left on time or within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. There were an impressive 2% of flights that were delayed by more than an hour which is nominal.
The announcement of VLM's excellent performance comes as the airline celebrates its third birthday which has just passed on April the 4th. VLM were also awarded the 'Passenger Airline Award 2007' for its Amsterdam flight route.
The Amsterdam flight route that is currently operated began in 2005 and ran three times per week. Today the flight is run 12 times per week and accounts for nearly a quarter of all flights the airline operates. In total in the time the route has operated 325,000 passengers have used it.
