Advanced Threat Identification X-ray To Be Installed At BAA Airports

Thursday 1st November 2007

It has been announced that a new range of high-tech scanning machines are making their way to BAA Airports in the drive for increased airline security. It is claimed that the new machines are able to detect explosives and liquids in hand luggage and as a result will decrease the time spent waiting at security.

The machines, named The Advanced Threat Identification X-ray are part of a development programme at BAA Airports costing a total of £20 million, and are due to replace the standard X-ray machines that are currently used.
