65 Year Old Woman Gains Pilots Licence

A 65 year old office worker has gained her pilots licence after being insipred by the Red Arrows. It is believed that she is the oldest woman in the UK to gain a pilots licence.

Anne Poole passed the final part of her licence test recently in a Piper PA38 Tomahawk light aircraft after spending three years training at Inverness Airport. Upon passing the said she was "delighted" that hse had achieved a lifelong ambition and continued, "It has taken three years, and I'm sure many young people would do it much quicker, but I am delighted to get there."
