More Flights To Poland On Offer With Wizz Air

Following the decision of the airline Centralwings to discontinue eight of its Polish flights, Wizz Air have stepped in to plug the gap that had been left.

Wizz Air has its headquarters in Hungary and has confirmed that it will be offering the flights to give the current Centralwings passengers and alternative. If you need to or have travelled on the Centralwing's flights to the following destinations then this is the service you can now expect to be provided from Wizz Air;

Centralwing's flights from Manchester to Gdansk and Warsaw will now be replaced with a Liverpool Airport service to these cities and prices will start at £22.99 for a one-way ticket all inclusive. Centralwing's Birmingham to Krakow service will be replaced with a service from Coventry Airport to Katowince and these too will start from £22.99. In place of Centralwing's Edinburgh to Poznan flights Wizz Air will be offering Glasgow Prestwick to Pozan starting from £14.99 one-way. If you wish to travel from Ireland to Poland then you will find a Wizz Air service operating from Cork Airport to Gdansk in place of the Centralwing's Shannon to Gdansk service.

Wizz Air is Poland's largest budget airline and controlled 35% of the Polish 2007 flight market. In the first half of 2008 there will be 14 new routes launched for the airlines fleet of Airbus A320's. The airline was formed in 2004 and has bases in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania and offers over 70 flight routes. Wizz Air styles itself on th simplicity of flight which includes ticketless travel, no seat assignments and the use of airport that they term as 'cost and time efficient secondary airports' such as Prestwick and Liverpool Airport.
