Aberdeen Airport Achieves Top Award For Customer Satisfaction

Tuesday 11th March 2008

Aberdeen Airport has been awarded a top accolade for passenger satisfaction after a hotly contested competition with many other airports from around the world.

The airport has been named as the most improved by the ACI (Airports Council International) and the managing director of the airport Kevin Brown said "this is a huge honour and one that the whole of the north east can be proud of. Our airport has been picked out from an amazing line-up of fantastic airports worldwide. We have listened to our passengers, our business and airline partners and we have invested millions to bring the airport up to the high standards our customers rightly expect and deserved. Much work is still to be done but I'm particularly pleased and honoured to see our efforts have clearly been recognised and appreciated by those flying to and from Aberdeen Airport.

The award was given after a survey of 200,000 people was undertaken in 2007 asking what passengers found impressive about the airport and how it performed. Clearly the opinions of passengers were very favourable when travelling through Aberdeen Airport. The award will be officially presented in April 2008 in Shanghai.
