Airbus Industries Announces Loss
Tuesday 11th March 2008Aircraft producers Airbus have announced operating losses of over $1 billion in 2007 which has come as a surprise for many due to record orders being made for its current fleet of aircraft. The losses are up from 2006 that were registered as 572 million Euros. The losses have forced its parent company EADS into negative finances which were unveiled on Tuesday.

It has been well publicised that Airbus have had several problems with its new Airbus A380 'superjumbo' as well as having to deal with delays on a brand new military aircraft designated the A400M. The Chief Executive of EADS said "2007 was a tough year with many high profile challenges to be overcome," when asked about the reasons for the considerable loss experienced by Airbus and EADS.
