School Children Speak Out Over Heathrow Noise
Thursday 28th February 2008A campaign is being launched by school children and a selected number of MP's about the noise levels that they are having to endure.
The new campaign is named The Plane Campaign (Pupils in Aviation Noise Environments) and its aim is to raise the issue of aircraft noise to residents and increase the pressure for more noise insulation in buildings. The launch of the campaign will be taking place at Portcullis House and will involve the delivery of a letter to 10 Downing Street outlining the campaigns aims to the Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
If the current plans for Heathrow Airport expansion go ahead then it is estimated that over 100,000 childrens education and well-being could be affected.
