Ryanair Blames 'Technical Difficulties' Again For Pricing Errors On Website
Tuesday 26th February 2008Ryanair has failed to show correct pricing on its website and has yet again blamed 'technical difficulties' for the problem. As a result of this they have failed to comply with The Office Of Fair Trading's regulations despite them promising that the changes would be made at the weekend.
Ryanair turned its website off over the weekend for technical reasons and had stated that they would use this downtime to make the changes to inclusive pricing which is now required however this was not done.
ABTA have reacted to Ryanair's reasons for the problems and had the following to say, “Ryanair has fobbed off the OFT for over a year with the excuse that they could not show clear, unambiguous prices on it website because they didn't have the technology," said Simon Bunce, head of legal services for ABTA. "Clearly, despite working on their website all weekend, they still don't have the technology. Either that or they just don't care about how they deal with their customers. The OFT must have had its patience sorely tested by Ryanair and we would urge them to ensure that holidaymakers can trust the prices they are given so that they can make valid comparisons when choosing their travel arrangements.”
